The landscape surrounding Kapparis, is famous for its windmills. If you have a chance, then try to visit this picturesque landscape. If you travel to the outskirts of Nearby Protaras, you will find a small stone church named the ''Church of Ayios Ilias'' it is well worth a visit, if not only for the panoramic view that can be seen from the top. Another place of interest is the village of Dherinia, which contains three churches that are also worth a visit, however the village is best known for its views of the ghost town Famagusta - which, once a major tourist resort, lies empty. Boat trips can be taken along the coast to Cape Greco and Famagusta. There is also a regular local bus service running from Paralimni to Ayia Napa via Kapparis and Protaras.
