 Avgorou (Greek Αυγόρου) is a village in southwestern Ammochostos province, Cyprus. It is close to the communities of Frenaros, Sotira, Liopetri and Ormidia (Larnaca province).
Avgorou is the home town of Andreas Karios who fell on September 2, 1958, in the Battle of Liopetri during the EOKA struggle. On July 5 of that same year, British troops fired on locals protesting their presence and killed pregnant mother Loukia Papageorgiou.

 Chlorakas village is a typical Cypriot village where you will find a selection of shops and restaurants. Paphos town centre is a 10-minute drive and Coral Bay is 15 minutes, with Limassol 1 hour's drive. There is also a back road down to the coastal road which takes approx 10 minutes walking where you can catch a bus at the bottom to Paphos town or Coral Bay. The bus service in Paphos is excellent, reliable and can be busy and slower in the summer with the roads being busier.

Pervolia is fast becoming a highly respected location west of Larnaca.
